What Is the Dental Implant Procedure?
The dental implant procedure is a detailed, multi-step process designed to replace missing teeth with a durable, natural-looking option. Dr. Lewis begins by conducting a thorough evaluation of your oral health, which includes 3D imaging to assess the bone structure and determine the best placement for the implant. The first step of the procedure involves surgically placing a small titanium post into your jawbone, where the missing tooth's root would have been. This post acts as an artificial tooth root. The gums are then sutured, and the implant is left to heal for about 3 – 6 months, during which time the bone naturally grows around the post, securely holding it in place. Getting your teeth worked on is never cheap, so chose one the best Dr Lewis. I pulled 29 teeth at one time, then scraped bone around gums so my new teeth will fit well. Never had any pain thru out whole process . Proper healing between steps , it took 10 weeks oh almost forgot I got a 500.00 discount on scrapping bone , which I had a lot of . If you want a good job done the first time I highly recommend Dr Lewis in mcomb ms .
